We use these (SaniStride® Mats) to sanitize the shoe bottoms of people coming into our nursery at our Guide Dog School. We were using a mat with just rubber fingers, but if the surface was not perfectly level, the liquid would pool in one area. The (SaniStride®) insert does a better job of covering the entire bottom of the shoe.

When Covid hit the US, as the owner of a pizzeria in CA, I was looking for anything that would help to clean and sanitize my restaurant. Thankfully, I found SaniStride on the web and contacted them… their customer service was amazing… so willing to answer my questions and help. I bought 2 Low Profile mats that worked perfectly for all the customer traffic, the mats were very easy for my customers and staff to crossover and sanitize their shoes. The Pasadena Health Department was pleased to see me using these mats. The use of the mats helped me to remain open during this entire time. Several years ago I was asked to find a cost-effective, reliable, safe and effective way to reduce environmental risks from foot traffic.

We were having some problems with external debris, soils and bacteria being brought in. Being that we are a food manufacturing facility, the typical train of thought has always been the deep, heavy mats that need sanitizers to be replaced every 4-6 hours or powders or granules.

The granules become slick and the powders can get tracked everywhere and can eventually lead to coatings that can be difficult to remove (especially in areas where a wet clean is not ideal). Those old mats can be heavy and difficult to clean or change when soiled. I happened to see your SaniStride foot mats and inserts while searching for solutions. I reached out to you (Spark Boemi, President, SaniStride) and you gave me the info I needed. At the time, you had never had a large food manufacturer ask about the product. I think we were both excited to see if they could stand up to our facility’s challenges.

The price was reasonable and the directions simple. We wouldn’t need to add any chemical to our mix and we wouldn’t need to add any real labor. It would be simple enough just to have people stand on the mats while doing what we do every time we come in the building… put on a hairnet, wash our hands or even just walk through the door… So we tried them at a couple of sinks and an entryway. Since then, we have placed them at all of our sinks and at all points of entry. We have incorporated them at some of our other plants and the results speak for themselves. We have not only reduced the risk of environmental contamination from foot traffic coming into the building, but we have all but eliminated the need for a shoe capture program (which can be quite costly). People don’t even think about it when stepping onto the mat, they just walk right on. If they get dirty on one side, we can flip them. They maintain the sanitizer strength throughout a day and if the residual value of the sanitizer drops, we just “re-charge” them. They last for some time if maintained so we don’t go through a lot of them even though our traffic is extremely heavy. It is truly a great product!

I don’t know if it is used throughout the food industry yet, but my opinion is, they should be.

We have had our first week with your low-profile mats, and they were a big hit! All our carts along with personnel flowed easily and freely through the two-mat setup. The mats took our cleaning solution very easily, and clean-up was just as easy if not a little easier than our previous mat.

Overall, a wonderful upgrade from our previous setup at a reasonable price. Couldn’t ask for anything more!

We switched … to the SaniStride Mat System and couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome.

We switched from using shoe covers to using the SaniStride Mat System and couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome. We used to use doubled-up shoe covers to enter specific clean rooms in our animal facility. Wanting to eliminate some of the waste that we were generating while maintaining sanitization standards of our facility, we tried several different shoe sanitizing mats. The mats we initially tried did not hold up to our high traffic, our chemical disinfectants, or our cleaning requirements. We find that the Sani-Stride Mat System is very effective in providing us the shoe disinfection we are looking for with the added benefit of being really durable and easy to clean. The base mat is great, because it keeps the disinfectant within the system, rather than sloshing on the floor or running under the mat.

We are completely satisfied and recommend it highly.

The maintenance …  can be performed quickly along with our other deep clean duties.

Lakeland Fire Department has been using the SaniStride LP systems at all seven of our fire stations for several months. Six of our stations use one system each, and one of our stations utilizes two systems. They are located in our engine bays next to the doors leading to the living quarters. I have spoken with several personnel stationed at each of the stations and those providing feedback shared they are overall pleased to have a system that allows us to quickly sanitize our boots after calls, avoiding wearing our soiled boots into our living quarters.

Specific comments to share on the system revolve around maintenance and functionality. The maintenance is uncomplicated and can be performed quickly along with our other deep clean duties. LFD is satisfied with the product and have gained peace of mind by being proactive in preventing the potential health risk to our personnel.
